Jurassic Find

The south coast of Britain stretching 95 miles from Dorset into east Devon is called the Jurassic coast, so called because the history of this period, and others, are so well captured in the wealth of fossils found in its’ cliffs and beaches. It is Britain’s first natural World Heritage site.

Anglo Saxon Gold

Continuing on the Anglo Saxon theme, there recently has been a very exciting find of a huge collection of gold artefacts from the era, found by an amateur metal detector! This is a hugely significant find and there is a lot of interest nationally and in particular from the region, Staffordshire, which is not noted for its’ tourist attractions.
Maybe this will change its’ fortunes!
