We find that many of our customers are women travelling alone or in small groups. Women in particular appreciate a tailored approach to itinerary planning around their interests, such as literature and gardens. Your holiday or vacation is unique to you, tailored to suit your needs.

We understand that for women it is not always comfortable to eat out alone but a hotel room is not ideal either! In our repertoire we have small friendly establishments which operate on a ‘house party’ basis where all the guests, and sometimes the hosts too, all congregate around one large table. It is a great way to meet interesting people without feeling vulnerable.

If you prefer not to drive yourself we can arrange the services of a trusted driver to take the strain.

Why not take a break from site seeing and indulge in some gentle exercise? The best way of getting to the heart of the countryside is to walk. Walking is a national pass time. All over Britain there are well marked footpaths which are protected rights-of-way, even across planted fields! There is plenty for everyone from the most experienced hill walkers and rock climbers to the casual rambler. There is also a national cycle network.

Fresh water fishing and golf are the most popular participation sports. Or soak up the atmosphere of a traditional British sporting event . A football (soccer) game perhaps, or in the summer a lazy day watching cricket.

As they became too expensive to maintain many were given over to the nation for posterity. Often restored to former glory, these grand country houses and their gardens are open to the public.

Watch out also for the wild flowers. In Spring particularly the fields, hedgerows and woods are alive with carpets of bluebells, daffodils, cowslips and more. In the mild damp atmosphere of southern Ireland hedges of wild fuchsia are abundant.

There is only one dangerous wild creature in Britain, a snake called an adder and even this is very shy and rarely seen. However, the hedgerows, river banks, woods and moorland all teem with different varieties of flora and fauna.
With so much coast there is a huge number of sea birds, plus songbirds and birds of prey, making these islands a delightful destination for bird watchers.
Watch out also for grey seals, whales and dolphins.

Britain and Ireland are the largest and second largest islands in Europe, so we have miles of great coastline which varies considerably along its length. Towering cliffs, sandy beaches, rugged peninsulars, hundreds of smaller islands.
There is also a huge variety of inland landscapes, from the flat marshlands of the east coast of England, through gentle rolling pastural hills of the southern counties to the wild beauty of the peaks and moors in the north. Likewise in Ireland, the scenery is ever changing as you move around the regions, with its own unique features such as the limestone pavemented Burren of County Clare. We can plan a route which will sample these diverse landscapes.
