Continuing on the Anglo Saxon theme, there recently has been a very exciting find of a huge collection of gold artefacts from the era, found by an amateur metal detector! This is a hugely significant find and there is a lot of interest nationally and in particular from the region, Staffordshire, which is not noted for its’ tourist attractions.
Maybe this will change its’ fortunes!
